World Tourism Day

Posted 27/9/2019 by Denise Baxter

With today being World Tourism Day and us being based on one of the most picturesque islands in the world we thought we would take the opportunity to boast a little and maybe give you a hankering to visit!

The Isle of Mull has 300 miles of jaw dropping coastline which is lined with secret coves and vast stretches of white sand that will simply take your breath away.

On a hot Summers day (yes, we do have them!) you could be forgiven for thinking you were somewhere in the Caribbean – clear blue skies reflected in the turquoise crystal- clear water.

On a Winters day there is nothing better to blow the cobwebs away than a brisk walk along the shore, the snow on the surrounding hills and mountains like a picture postcard.

Otherwise known as ‘Eagle Island’ the sight and sound of our White-Tailed Sea Eagles and Golden Eagles soaring through the thermals are commonplace. Multiple species of whales, dolphins and seals flip and frolic in the enfolding waters and industrious otters make their homes by the water’s edge.

Sunrise and Sunset on Mull are second to none whatever the time of year and even the most amateur photographer is guaranteed to get the shot of a lifetime no matter which part of the island you happen to be as the sun is rising or going down.

There is no shortage of places to eat on Mull from Fish and Chips on the pier to 6 course award winning restaurants.

Although of course we take our work very seriously, life on Mull has that all year- round holiday vibe and many of us choose to spend our ‘down time’ lapping up the scenery we are so fortunate to have on our doorstep rather than venture elsewhere.

See you soon?
