International Business Manager

Our client, Chromacity has an opportunity for an International Business Development Manager

to join their team.  You could either be based in Edinburgh or work from a home office.  As an International Business Development Manager, you will manage, coordinate and execute the Sales and Business Development.

As International Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Facilitate the building of global awareness of the Chromacity product range and help it to be recognised as the market leader in the field of laser technology, specifically in, but not limited to, spectroscopy. The Company needs an ambitious business development resource to:
  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base to develop a strong presence in the field of spectroscopy (vibrational, raman, FTIR etc.)
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Assist in developing an effective sales strategy that increases sales of the company’s products, which includes identifying, monitoring and reporting on KPI’s

As an International Business Development Manager, you will have the following skills/experience:

  • The ideal candidate must have previous business development experience at a senior level with a track record of closing high value strategic business opportunities, ideally within a tech company setting and an understanding to complex technical sales process.
  • You will have a good understanding of developing and raising awareness of market profile, develop new customer relationships and ability to research and develop business opportunities in new markets as well as confidently being able to produce reports on effectiveness of sales and business development activity.
  • You will be a confident leader, with effective project management qualities. A good understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements would be desirable.
  • You will have strong communication and organisation skills as well as be competent and confident with IT and Microsoft Office.
